Sam & Cat is an upcoming American teen sitcom created by Dan Schneider for Nickelodeon. It is a crossover / spin-off of the shows, iCarly and Victorious.

The series was picked up for a 20 episode season on November 29, 2012. It began production in January 2013[1] and will premiere this June.[2]

Sam travels from Seattle where iCarly was set to speak about web TV series at Hollywood Arts High School, the setting for Victorious. There, she and Cat meet up and eventually become friends and roommates. They love their freedom and independence but quickly realize that fun and adventure don't come cheap. Rather than get traditional after-school jobs, Sam and Cat become teen entrepreneurs by starting their own babysitting business.[3][4]

Main characters

  • This is the first live action crossover series created by Dan Schneider and Nickelodeon.
  • This is the second crossover between iCarly and Victorious, only this time as a series rather than a special.
  • After the announcement for the show was made, fans of Victorious expressed dismay because they thought that the creation of this show was the reason for the cancellation of Victorious, although the creator for both shows had since stated otherwise.[5]
  • In the iCarly finale "iGoodbye", Sam is seen at the end driving away in a motorcycle, symbolizing the transition to her new show.
  • Ariana stated that the show would be "like Drake & Josh and Kenan & Kel but with girls".[6]\
  • Sam and Cat met on the iCarly episode iParty With Victorious in 2011 before the Pilot of Sam & Cat, but this has not been mentioned in the series
